Description

The red, white, and blue ribbon identified the wearer as a delegate at the 115th Biennial National Convention of the National Federation of Post Office Clerks (NFPOC) held in Indianapolis, Indiana, from September 5-9, 1927. The suspended medal is in the shape of the state of Indiana with an imprint of the Soldiers' and Sailor's monument in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The NFPOC formed in Chicago in 1906 and received a charter from the American Federation of Labor. In 1961 the NFPOC joined the United National Association of Post Office Clerks to form the United Federation of Postal Clerks (UFPC). On July 1, 1971, the UFPC merged with four other unions to found the American Postal Workers Union.
